Sanjeev oversees Capsilon’s product strategy, leads our expansion into new areas, and plays a key role in the success of our strategic customers. He has over 20 years of experience in the management and development of large-scale, mission-critical computing systems and service companies.
Prior to founding Capsilon, Sanjeev was chairman, founder and CEO of MediaTel Corporation, voted one of the top 100 fastest growing companies in 1998. He spent 8 years building this Silicon Valley-based company, from start-up to pre-IPO, into one of the world’s leading providers of electronic document delivery services.
Before founding MediaTel, Sanjeev served as a product manager for Votan, Inc., where he was instrumental in the development and sales of systems to the Regional Bell Operating Companies. Prior to that, he was a software architect at ROLM Corporation where he worked on the development of the world’s leading voice mail system. Sanjeev began his career at Burlington Industries where he built and implemented process control systems for the world’s first fully- automated textile plant.
Sanjeev earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
Jim Obsitnik | Chief Operating Officer
Jim is responsible for Capsilon’s business operations including sales, marketing, product operations, support, and services. He has more than twenty years of experience in a variety of roles for leading enterprise SaaS companies.
Jim joins Capsilon from Oracle, where he served as General Manager for two of Oracle’s cloud-based talent management businesses in its growing cloud-based Human Capital Management division. Previously, he held executive roles at Taleo, a pioneer in cloud-based talent management solutions, until Taleo was acquired by Oracle in 2012. During his tenure, Jim led over 300% growth in his businesses and achieved #1 in market share for SMB talent management solutions. He has also held a variety of executive positions at technology companies such as Netscape, Commerce One, Everdream, and Dell, where he led efforts to grow their cloud-based businesses.
Jim holds an MBA from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, and a BSEE in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University.
Greg Marek | Chief Marketing Officer
Greg is responsible for product management and product marketing, as well as driving market leadership, awareness, demand generation and corporate communications. He has more than 20 years of experience in marketing leadership roles with both venture-funded startups and global technology leaders.
Previous to joining Capsilon, Greg served as vice president of marketing at Confirmit, a global leader in SaaS solutions for customer experience, employee engagement, and market research. Prior to that, Greg was vice president of marketing at MarketTools, a provider of SaaS solutions for capturing and analyzing customer feedback. Greg also served as the senior director of worldwide marketing programs at Citrix, a global leader in virtualization, networking and cloud infrastructure. Earlier in his career, Greg held senior marketing roles at Intuit, and was part of the original team at Oracle that launched the first generation of Oracle Applications.
Greg earned a BAS, with distinction, from Stanford University.
Dmitri Daveynis | Senior Vice President, Engineering
Dmitri is responsible for Capsilon’s global engineering team and delivering innovative solutions that accelerate mortgage production for large mortgage companies. He has more than two decades of software engineering and technology operations leadership in high-growth SaaS environments.
Prior to joining Capsilon, Dmitri served as senior vice president of engineering and chief technical officer at Quantros, a leading healthcare technology company focused on improving healthcare quality and safety performance. During his tenue, Dmitri built a high quality, scalable and secure platform serving more than 2,000 healthcare facilities and 7,000 retail pharmacies. Prior to Quantros, Dmitri served as vice president of technology and operations at Hewlett-Packard, where he managed the development and operations of marketing platform initiatives. He also managed the strategic technology redesign and engineering of hp.com, and led rapid technology innovation in the social and mobile spaces.
Dmitri holds an MBA from University of Rochester and a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Belarus State University in Minsk, Belarus.
David Chen| Vice President, Finance & Administration
David is responsible for financial planning, business analytics, human resources and facilities. He brings more than 20 years of experience in technology financial planning, budgeting, accounting, administration and management to Capsilon.
Previously David served as the CFO and vice president of finance and administration at a SaaS-based call center technology provider in Redwood City, Calif., where he led all financial and administration activities as well as implemented planning and budgeting processes. Prior to that, he held various financial controller leadership positions at Sun Microsystems, including the company’s mergers and acquisitions finance controller; achieving accelerated revenue, company growth and forecasting accuracy.
David holds a BS in Economics and Chemistry from Northwestern University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from The University of Chicago.
Jim Sciarra | Vice President, Support & Services
Jim oversees all customer operations including professional services, education and support. With nearly 25 years of experience in enterprise software and cloud/SaaS delivery, he has an established track record of building global customer service operations from the ground up.
Prior to joining Capsilon, Jim spent two years in cloud service operations at Saba Software, where he led teams in the US and India, and contributed to the company’s efforts to shift from on-premise software to a cloud service model. Before that, Jim was vice president of services and operations for Ravenflow, where he was responsible for professional services, customer support, and IT operations. Before Ravenflow, Jim was vice president of services at Kadiri, an enterprise compensation management software provider. Jim began his services career at PeopleSoft, where he was instrumental in establishing the European Global Support Center in Amsterdam and spent three years as PeopleSoft’s director of international support.
Jim holds a BS in Telecommunications Management from Syracuse University.
Mike Jepsen | Vice President, Operations
Mike Jepsen has more than 20 years of experience designing and implementing high-volume, highly available datacenter infrastructures and managing operations in organizations ranging in size from startups to the Fortune 100.
Prior to joining Capsilon, Mike was responsible for the technology architecture organization at MoneyGram International. While at MoneyGram, he successfully led the design and implementation of MoneyGram’s highly scalable global technology infrastructure. Previously, Mike has served as vice president of operations for Dexma (which became part of Accenture in 2013), and director of architecture at Ameriprise Financial (around since 1894). At Ameriprise, Mike was responsible for designing infrastructure solutions for a new subsidiary, previously owned by American Express. Other roles have included director of operations for Dow Jones & Company, and network manager for Wang Labs.
Mike received his BS in Management Information Systems from Winona State University. He holds multiple industry technical certifications.
